Lesson 5
Activity Photosynthesis Lab
Questions to think about before beginning this lesson

1. Why is only one independent variable measured at a time within a scientific experiment?

2. How does light intensity, temperature, and carbon dioxide levels afect rates of photosynthesis in plants?

Lesson

In this activity, students will engage in a lab activity showing the effects of light intensity, temperature, and carbon dioxide levels on the rate of photosnthesis within plants. In this lesson students will participate in completing a simulation on gizmos called the "Photosynthesis Lab."

Part I. Download the student lab sheet on the gizmo itself.

Part I. Listen to the podcast below explaining how to navigate the gizmo.

You will need to login to the simulation "Photosnthesis Lab" and while using the learning guide follow through all parts of the simulation. Once you have completed the simulation, complete the five assessment questions below the simulation. Your score will be sent to me so I can record it on Power School.
