Questions to think about before beginning this lesson

1. Do organs have the same location in plants and animals?

2. Do organs have the same structure and function in plants and animals?

Lesson

Students will compare the structure and function of organs in plants with the structure and function of organs in the human organism.

Part I. Download the worksheet called "Matching Parts." Plants and living organisms have organs that contain specific functions based on their structure. In this activity you will be given a list of organs. You will need to define each organ, draw the organs structure, and determine how its function is similar to the human organism. You can use your biology book or Internet to help you in your quest for knowledge.

Part II. Complete an assignment on mastery connect called "Matching Parts "
