1. How has technology transformed science in medicine?

2. Is the cost of this technology worth the price especially in our economic situation?

Students will be given an article containing a new technology discovered in science and how this technology has improved human health. Although these technologies ultimately make life easier, are they worth the expense? Students will examine this closely and write a paragraph expressing their opinion. Their article will also be presented to the class. Points will be given based on the following rubric

3 pts- Explaining the technique
3pts- Opening Statement (presentation)
9 pts- 3 facts supporting their view (presentation)
3 pts - Closing statement (presentation)
2 pts- Class participation
