1. Compare and contrast sexual and asexual reproduction.

2. How are diseases and mutations linked to the DNA?

Lesson

All organisms exists because of reproduction. Two types of reproduction exists and are called sexual (meiosis) and asexual (mitosis). In asexual reproduction individuals reproduce without another individual whereas in sexual reproduction two individuals, typically one of each sex, is required.

Part I. Read the following article and fill out the worksheet called "Contrast meiosis and mitosis."

Part II. Login to mastery connect and complete the assignments called "Asexual versus Sexual Reproduction."
