Questions to think about before beginning this lesson. 1. Can wild animals be domesticated?

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of domesticating a wild animal?
Lesson This lesson reinforces what students have already learned about artificial and natural selection. In this activity students will be divided into groups to determine which animals would be best for domestication that would benefit a hunter/gather tribe.

Download the assignment called The Perfect Cow. Work within teacher assigned groups to determine which of four animals would best be considered for domestication and would provide the best benefit for a hunter/gather tribe.
